Do These Sound Like the Symptoms of ADHD?

Question by Matt: Do these sound like the symptoms of ADHD?
I’m obviously not expecting a diagnosis over the internet, but I’m wondering if my “symptoms” are things I should be concerned about, or if they’re normal for someone my age. (17, almost 18)

* I daydream for literally hours upon hours per day
* Whenever I’m supposed to be working, I write about a word and then forget what I’m doing and end up doing something else
* I eventually get bored of that and start daydreaming
* I get bored of daydreaming sitting down so I make a cup of tea and drink it in slow sips while pacing around the kitchen whilst daydreaming
* I’m not technically deaf, but I NEVER hear what people say the first time round, and sometimes the second, too
* Concentrating on a task literally makes me want to go to sleep
* It takes me like 10 hours to write a single page of essay, even though all my games consoles are packed away in their boxes and I don’t like the shows on TV these days anyway, hell I even deleted my Facebook account and rarely use MSN but I still just end up daydreaming
* I haven’t been able to conjure the attention span needed to finish a book in about five years
* I was always extremely quiet as a kid, but now I’m really OTT and extroverted to the point it’s annoying
* I’m always losing and forgetting stuff
* I’m never on time
* I always forget where I’ve put things just moments after I put them down
* There was a rumor floating around that I had ADHD, which I found funny at the time because I knew I didn’t, but now it’s not so funny because I realised that I *don’t* know either way

Also, 4000+ Y! points in just a few months. (I’ve had the account for ages though)
That’s pretty bad too IMO.
In a borderline twist of irony, I’ve spent the past few hours fantasizing what it would be like to be diagnosed with ADHD.
India King, ADHD doesn’t necessarily mean hyperactivity, hence why it’s also commonly referred to as ADD. In fact, I hear that the most common type of ADD with teenagers my age is *innatentive* ADHD. I was rather hoping to get the opinion of someone who does this stuff for a living who might be able to offer me something new, since I do know how to Google and what have you, but thanks for the help anyway.
