Should I Get Involved Again With an Ex-Friend Now That She’s Tried to Commit Suicide?

Question by InnerBeauty28: Should I get involved again with an ex-friend now that she’s tried to commit suicide?
This girl is really sweet in general. However, she’s a crazy alcoholic and her decisions have run alot of her friends away. Her self-centered “rules” and “all-about-me” attitude made me cut back my interactions with her.

Last Friday she hacked into a mutual friends FB account and read all his emails and chat. She read our emails about her, and how badly she is needing help, and also our rants about her stupid “rules” and “self-centered attitude”! She got PO’d at both of us. I didn’t care, it wasn’t her place to be reading any of it. She got what she wanted when she hacked the account.

Later last weekend, I gave her my piece of mind about what she did, and soon later she blocked me on FB.

I Just Don’t Know What to Do With My Alcoholic Mother in Law?

Question by Lorena J: I just don’t know what to do with my alcoholic mother in law?
She has been drinking for 20 years, she turns into another person when drunk. She drinks straight up, and she talks to herself and goes crazy kicking people out of the house. I try to listen to her and her problems thinking maybe since I’ve come into her life by living with her, she now has someone to listen to her and might make her stop. I even tell her “You need to stop drinking” and she says “Yes, I have a problem and I need to do something with my life” but then that same night she drinks like crazy.

Im not sure how else to help her to stop, since it is really destroying us (those that live with her) and I’m getting to the point where I can’t stand her because of that. I just feel like leaving her alone and let her drink her life away, but I know she needs serious help.
