I have no qualifications in addiction and I am not a doctor but I have personal experience when it comes to Alcoholism and finding recovery.

So, what are the signs of an alcoholic, there are many, and usually the Alcoholic knows he or she has a problem but refuses to accept it, denial sets in and justification for drinking continues. When an Alcoholic drinks usually he cannot stop, even if he want to stop he can not and will end up drunk this is just one of the signs of an alcoholic. Most people when they drink enjoy the taste and the social interaction that goes with it, however if the person has alcoholic tendencies he will become unsociable and will usually end up in some kind of trouble, either with his family, friends or the police.

What Causes Alcohol Poisoning

You have often seen people drink heavily in pubs, hotels, and night clubs, bars or any other such places. They drink to the point where there remain no need to consume any other food as they fully boozed out. In that case the alcohol or liquor comes in reaction with the acidic matters present in the stomach area and cause poisoning. This is called the alcohol poisoning in general.  

This is often called as the alcohol dependant disease of the body as it is caused due to alcoholism. Lately, everything is a “disease” or “illness”. You’re not a drunk; you have a disease that makes you drink too much. You’re not an overeater; you have a mental illness that makes you eat way too much. You’re not just a pill-popper; you have a chemical dependency disease.

I feel like our society is cowtowing to weak people, and just making them even weaker. Every time the APA convenes and invents the new diseases for the year, there’s always a new program or drug, ready-made to combat the new illness that was just invented.

This also causes people to make excuses for their vices. An alcoholic who is forced to go to AA meetings is immediately brainwashed and tricked into joining a religious cult that pretends that they don’t support any organized faith (yet, many of the 12 steps are religion-based). An alcoholic is basically being tricked into abandoning one addiction for one that’s much worse and more dangerous.
