Q&A: Are Other Countries as Obsessed Over Telling People What to Do as America Is?
Question by Smokey: Are other countries as obsessed over telling people what to do as America is?
If not, then why is it that Americans are like this? As a Libertarian, I am apalled by the hipocracy of anti-smoking organizations, anti-obesity movements, anti-abortion protestors and even most vice laws. Was the Constitution not clearly defined enough? I mean, what do people care what other people do if it doesn’t affect them?
What really bugs me is when people use words like “epidemic” in regards to obesity; “parent education” when it comes to parenting; or even “disease” for alcoholism. I’m sorry, but I was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy; I’ve never walked before in my life and THAT, my friend, is a disease.
Sorry, I just had to vent.
By the way, I must not have made it clear enough. I DO NOT SUPPORT CHILD MOLESTATION.

What Is The Difference Between An Alcoholic and a Heavy Drinker
What’s the difference between an alcoholic and a heavy drinker? I have a friend who is an alcoholism counselor here in the good ole USA, who says that if you have to ask the question, you are probably in trouble. Is this a question that has been lurking at the back of your mind lately? If so, here are some facts that might interest you.
Most people don’t think about such things. In fact a stunning 48% of the adult American population drinks zero, zip, nada, or at most has a glass of champagne at a wedding or a spiked eggnog at the annual office Christmas party just to be polite. Of those who do drink, the majority drink moderately or occasionally. The dirty little secret of the American liquor industry is that 10% of the drinkers account for 70% of alcohol sales, and those are the folks who drink early and often and never in moderation.

Depression in Teens: What Are the Signs?
Depression In Teens: What Are The Signs?
Depression is a very serious illness that not only affects adults, but just as easily can affect adolescents and teenagers. Depression has an impact on how we think, feel, behave, and our health in general. Depression in teens is becoming more common in our high stress society as about 5% of the teen population suffers from some form of depression.
The two kinds of depression are major depression and manic depression also called bipolar disorder. Major depression is when you feel down or sad most of the time. With bipolar disorder, you feel sad and down sometimes but at other times you will feel agitated and reckless. When someone begins to have these symptoms regularly, help must be sought immediately from a counselor, psychologist, or even a family member.
