Alcoholism can be a big problem if you allow it to go on for too long. Not only can it have a negative impact on your personal relationships, it can also have a negative impact on your health. Moreover, the research indicates that alcohol is the prime factor behind road accidents, suicides and homicides. Increasing job absenteeism, domestic violence and child abuse are some of the prominent results of alcohol abuse in the modern society.

Alcoholism disease can be defined as a drug addiction where alcohol consumption is at a level that interferes with the person’s physical and mental health and negatively impacts family, social or work responsibilities.
