D.T. Max once said, “Education is more than filling a child with facts. It starts with posing questions.”
Unfortunately the only questions that are being posed today are “Why did he kill himself?” or “Was she depressed before committing suicide?” The facts filling the minds of today’s children are not how much percentage of earth is water but ‘Will I make the cut off list?’, ‘What will I do if I don’t get in the college of my choice?’
So what is the reason for this sudden ‘epidemic’ of suicides plaguing our young?

Why Do Homosexuals Attack People That Try to Help Them?
Question by .: Why do homosexuals attack people that try to help them?
They always try to attack good people that try to teach them the right choice.
Many gays cite research that they don’t even know what it means. In contrast, homosexuals claim that scientific studies have shown that there is a biological basis for homosexuality.
Three main studies are cited by “gay rights” activists in support of their argument Hamer’s X-chromosome research, LeVay’s study of the hypothalamus, and Bailey and Pillard’s study of identical twins who were homosexuals.
In all three cases, the researchers had a vested interest in obtaining a certain outcome because they were homosexuals themselves. More importantly, their studies did not stand up to scientific scrutiny by other researchers. Also, “the media typically do not explain the methodological flaws in these studies, and they typically oversimplify the results”. There is no reliable evidence to date that homosexual behavior is determined by a person’s genes.

3 Negative Effects of Alcohol & a Top Secret Tip to Reverse Them
We all love a drink from time to time, some more than overs! Wether you like a few after work, go on all out binges every weekend or just have a few now and again, you are intelligent enough to know that there will be consequences. Here are 3 of them for you to consider.
Your Physical Appearance May Change.
Because alcohol drinks are so calorie dense, a lot of people who consume alcohol will notice some weight gain. Drinking alcohol will effect the circulation by expanding blood vessels. This causes the veins to thread, usually on your face, and a you may develop a purple, thick ‘drunks nose’. Heavy consumers of alcohol usually do not eat properly and alcohol also prevents the body from absorbing the nutrients it requires. This will manifest as bad skin, brittle dry hair and unhealthy looking nails. These are just some of the effects of alcohol.
Signs of Depression. Can You Read Them When You See Them?
Signs of Depression. Can you Read Them When you See Them?
Pain, a high body temperature, a running nose. All signs of physical problems and all pretty obvious. But what about feeling sad for a couple of days? Would you go and see your doctor when you feel helpless, empty, and worthless but without a scarf or a running nose to show for it? I bet you wouldn’t. You kick yourself in the butt, ignore the sings and keep trying to get your act together. Why? Because we don’t want to be seen as whiners or losers. But what if you’d come to the conclusion that – after yet another sleepless night – these feelings just won’t go away and actually get stronger day by day? Would you kick yourself in the butt again? You should. Because you wasted valuable time just because you missed the early warning signs and symptoms of depression.
Recognizing the Early Signs of Depression and How to Deal With Them
Recognizing The Early Signs Of Depression and How to Deal with Them
The early signs of depression can be easily misinterpreted because they can sometimes mirror those of other illnesses or, more likely, simply be written off as “being unhappy” or being “moody.” But depression is a serious illness and proper diagnosis and treatment is crucial in order to avoid more serious side effects, including suicidal thoughts.
Some of the earliest warning signs of depression include difficulty concentrating, feelings of irritability, pessimism, worthlessness or hopelessness. Physically, individuals suffering from depression may experience changes in eating and sleeping patterns and persistent headache, cramps or digestive problems.
While we all suffer from the “blues” from time to time, when these feeling persist for more than a few weeks at a time, that is one of the biggest early signs of depression. If this is the case, it is extremely important to consult a doctor and get a clinical diagnosis so that you can begin relevant treatment. The sooner you can get a handle on your symptoms, the better your chances of nipping them in the bud before they become more serious.
Forgive Them, for They Know Not What They Do
Forgive Them, for They Know not What They Do
As I thought about what to write today, a quote from the bible, which I used to read regularly as a child, came to mind. It was “Forgive them, father, for they know not what they do.” It has often been said that there is a denial that comes part and parcel with addiction. This is true- there is no doubt about it, but there is also something else operating with addiction, for both the addict and those who love him or her. And I would have to say that what is also operating with the abuse of substances is just down-right, plain and simple ignorance. When we realize this, it is both the bad news, and the good news. You see with denial, you get a sense that it is impossible to break. Denial has a will of its own. But ignorance is different. Ignorance we can do something about.
