New Year Life Insurance
New Year Life Insurance
The New Year will herald a run on life insurance claims.
For some reason, the UK has struggled to come to terms with the more relaxed drinking laws of Europe. When alcohol was no longer served after 11pm, New Year revellers would rush to cram in as much drinking as possible with a view to getting as drunk as they could, all to signal that they had a good New Years that they couldn’t even remember.
This type of behaviour has always led to drink related incidents, thus causing a surge in life insurance claims shortly after. With the introduction of the European laws which makes 24 hour drinking more possible, you would think people would now be able to pace themselves a little better.
Q&A: I Have No Medical Insurance, Where Can I Go for Psychological Reasons?- Sacramento Area?
Question by nohatashereyo: I have no medical insurance, Where can I go for psychological reasons?- Sacramento area?
I need to get a prescription of a antidepressant/anti anxiety. Really bad, it’s crippling.
I have no medical insurance and I can’t get medical or anything like that.
I have contacted the local agency that deal with this and they referred me to a clinic. So I asked them but they say they don’t cover “Treatment for mental disorders, alcoholism or drug addiction.”
Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction? I’m looking for something in the greater Sacramento Area.
and before anyone says I need counseling first, I’ve tried it and it didn’t help…I don’t think I can actually get to another counselor anyways with this anxiety.

Q&A: What Do You Do if Your Insurance Only Gives 20 Visits Per Year and You Need More..?
Question by Andrew Ostrowski: What do you do if your insurance only gives 20 visits per year and you need more..?
I was getting addiction treatments last winter for an oxy habit, unfortunately the rehab, therapy, and all the psych visits for my suboxone treatment used up all of my available visits for “mental health or substance abuse” per year. I have been having alot of symptoms of depression lately..”crying spells, intense need to be held, severe fatigue, horrid sleep patterns, etc..” and don’t have any more visits available. I don’t have a job as i just graduated last year and am too weak to work more than an hour or so per day anyway. I have caresource which i think is medicaid based. Is there anyway i can get them to allow me to see a psychiatrist or are there any other ways to get help with this kinda thing?
Smoking Cigs, Now a Humanitarian Thing to Do, Since New Taxes Provide Children’s Health Insurance … Right?
Question by pickle head: Smoking Cigs, now a Humanitarian thing to do, since new taxes provide Children’s Health Insurance … right?
Obama is now taxing tobacco products beginning April 1, 2009 to support “Children’s Health Insurance Program” or (SCHIP)
Not only do Smokers help by paying this new tax, there will also be a “Floor Tax” imposed upon businesses who provide tobacco products to consumers.
Soon, a new “BEER TAX” will be implemented also, so that those who consume alcoholic beverages can also do their part.
So, I guess the next time a smoker is insulted for ‘second hand smoke’ or a drunk is arrested, there will be reasonable argument that … they were just trying to help the kids.
Your thoughts about these new taxes …?

Auto Insurance Companies Says No to Drunk Driving
Auto Insurance Companies Says No To Drunk Driving
During the holiday seasons or any season in particular, there is no way that parties and family gatherings would be avoided. This is the only season and time of the year wherein one person could see and be in touch with their families and loved ones. Along with those gatherings are mouth-watering dishes and of course some liquor – that, is something that could never be avoided.
This to remind everyone that drunk driving is something that should always be avoided. Here’s a tip. For people who are aware that they gathering that he/she will be attending involve drinking brandy, wine, or any type of liquor, it is important that there is someone that will drive going back, and someone that will not drink at the same time. Even though auto insurance is available, it doesn’t necessarily mean that people have to be reckless and take advantage of it.
Drinking Too Much Alcohol Affects Your Life Insurance Rate
Drinking Too Much Alcohol Affects Your Life Insurance Rate
Does the amount of alcohol you drink affect your life insurance rates? While life insurance companies may not be primarily concerned with how much alcohol you drink, they are definitely concerned about any adverse effects your drinking may have on your health. Heavy drinking as a lifestyle may lead to chronic health concerns such as heart disease, stroke, depression, dementia, liver and gastrointestinal problems.
Because the amount of alcohol you consume may have bearing on your health and longevity, life insurance companies are interested in this aspect of your life. Most companies would not hesitate to increase your life insurance rates if you are a heavy drinker. In fact, according to the underwriting practices of some life insurance companies, drinking two drinks a day may disqualify you from the “preferred” category. Drinking four or more drinks a day may disqualify you from “standard” life insurance rates.
