Official: Montenegro coach fired over alcoholism

The head of Montenegro’s football federation said Friday that former national coach Zlatko Kranjcar was fired because of alcohol addiction. Dejan Savicevic told a local TV channel that Kranjcar “had a problem which we tried to hide, the alcohol problem.” Kranjcar, a former Croatia international, denied he was an alcoholic or that an addiction was the reason for his dismissal.
