Alcohol Abuse Signs: What Are the Signs of a Potential Stalker?

Question by Introverted Girl: What are the signs of a potential stalker?
I’ve taken some classes due to being stalked three times in my past. One when I was 15, two guys were harassing and following me home on a daily basis (needed to get police involved) another when a close friend of mine revealed he was in love with me for nine years, he got obsessive and even threatened to end his life if i rejected him. My parents got involved (this was in 2009) and very recently, where I study at university a student, male had been stalking me for about a month or two, following me home, at my study library and even left me anonymous sex/love letters. My question is.. What is it that makes these people do this? I used to always blame myself. I ignored my stalkers, and they persisted. They wouldn’t hear “no” always twisted it into “no?but maybe if…” what is it? And how can I read the “signs” of a potential date, lover being a stalker? There’s a guy at the moment I’m getting a huge red alert from him:
– he is nice in public but in private he is demanding, sulks when I don’t want to do things he wants
– is always asking who I’m with where I am, with guys. Has told me to stop talking to guys I ignored him. Has expressed sadness and says things like “don’t leave me please?don’t forget about me please?” and laughs I off but it is persistent
– always mentions marriage that he wants a wife like me.. says I’m perfect for him even though we just met lol…
