What Does “No Food or Drink” Mean to You?

Being a student, I have also worked as a Lab monitor, and I often see my fellow mates, bringing in “Food and drinks(non alcoholic)” to the Lab. Rarely someone really adheres to the many “No Food or Drinks” signs posted in the Lab. Does “No food and drink” really make you hungry and thirsty?
