Facts Alcoholism: What to Do About a Partner Who Drinks and Then Does Not Remember Things?
Question by V W: What to do about a partner who drinks and then does not remember things?
The person finishes a 24 pack of 20 ounce beers in about 36 hours before heading to the store to repeat this all over again.
They will tell me that I said or didnt say things that I know I’ve said or didnt say .They can never hear or understand , I am ALWAYS having to repeat something Ive said . They make accusations , such as me laughing at them in the context of a text message . They swear that they read “lol” in one of my text messages when there is no “lol” there.
They are unable to remember names or faces , You repeat ur name 20 times , they still forget …
A prime example will be them dropping me off in my driveway and then the next day they tell me “You got out of the car without saying goodnite or I love you”
When I in fact KNOW for sure I did say “goodnite , luv u ”
We are riding together in the car and they point out a clinic and insist that I have been to a clinic that I HAVNT been to….
Lots of memory loss….. What to do ?
is a 24 pack in 36 hours excessive?

It is obviously excessive for this person! You have your work cut out for you. Not a rollercoaster ride I would want to be on.
