Is Daydreaming Too Much a Sign of Mental Illness….?
Question by .: Is daydreaming too much a sign of mental illness….?
I daydream all the time. Sometimes, my dreams feel so real and I have to remind myself that it’s not. For instance, when I’m upset, I sit down and pretend like someone is comforting me and it makes me feel better. I also pretend I’m walking with someone around my neighborhood when I’m completely alone. I feel like I live inside my head most of the time. I just can’t relate to anyone nor do I have someone real I can talk to. Daydreaming is the only thing that makes me happy. I daydream so much that sometimes I just sit and that’s all I do. I know this is not normal, but I can’t stop. Is this a symptom of mental illness?
