I live in a 4 family house and I have a washer and dryer in the basement which I purchased. There is this creepy guy who lives in a one room illegal apartment down there and he keeps using them. Right now I hear my washer spinning. Last week I found a crack pipe in my dryer. I call the landlord and he says “work it out among yourselves”. I pay extra rent to have this washer and dryer and my husband did the work to get the hook-up down there so we could have them. He has skanky girlfriends that are also using them. Sometimes they leave their clothes in my dryer. I have written this guy letters and spoke to him but he still does it. My husband does nothing as he is a “recovering alcoholic with 13 years of sobriety” and has taken this forgiveness thing a little too far. I don’t want to wash my baby’s clothes down there after I find drug paraphanalia in them. Landlord does nothing & my husband who is built like a linebacker & could scare this jerk does nothing.

Can you get a handyman to install a padlock on them?
