Q&A: Appropriate Wording for “Celebration of Marriage” Party…?
Question by JENNIKZ: Appropriate wording for “celebration of marriage” party…?
My fiance and I are getting married on May 2 in Las Vegas. We are having a “celebration of our marriage” party later on after we get home. I have the invites worded as follows …”Jen and Tim made it official in Las Vegas on May 2, 2009. Come join us for the celebration of our marriage on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 5o’clock in the evening. Food and Merriment. DJ to Follow. Location.” HOWEVER… How do I word it so that people know there will be alcoholic beverages? I’ve been to a few receptions where if there’s no booze, people won’t come… But I can’t just say something like “Booze included” or anything. We are buying a couple kegs of beer and some alcohol for the dances and stuff… Any ideas on how to fit that in there? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
THANKS MUCH!!! :)

Wow, I’d piss off a lot of people if I knew the same ones you did. I’m having a totally dry wedding. I don’t even like alcohol that much.
Why not just say “open bar will be available”?
