Behaviors of an Alcoholic: If My Family Has a History of Addictive Behavior, Am I More at Risk for a Sex Addiction?

Question by A little Madness?: If my family has a history of addictive behavior, am I more at risk for a sex addiction?
Is this a part of it too? Like theres a lot of people in my family who’ve gotten addicted to things, but idk about sex. I don’t drink alcohol, though some people in my fam history (like grandparents, Aunt, Uncle,) are “alcoholics” I guess, and then some like my grandpa was addicted to gambling, etc… no one ever did drugs though, but I don’t do anything “bad” like to harm my body, and still I feel sometimes like I could have an addiction to sex, and it drives me crazy like I can’t control it. Idk whats wrong.

Is sex addiction real? Or just fake like every person who cheats says they have a sex addiction, it seems stupid.

Nymphomani is a real thing. Adiction is a learned habit, not genetic. If you really think you have a problem, google it to compare symptoms and mull over treatments. However, you probably just have raging hormones. It happens to the most frigid of us sometimes :P
