Alcohol Abuse Advice

Question by bill k: Pre-employment testing fo alcohol. Any Lab tech’s out there?
Does anyone know how a urine test for alcohol works? How far back does it go and what are the limits? Two beers the night before? A six pack a day for a long time?
I have never had one of these tests and if there is a lab tech that knows the answer I would really appreciate it!

The test was definately a urine test and it was for alcohol and drugs. When I asked the tech if I had had a couple of beers the night before; “would that influence the test” She said “No”. the test is for long term abuse?

ive never heard of such a thing and i take two a year plus “randoms”, unless this was a physical they dont test for booze on preemployment screens. If there is an accident the urine, blood, and breath and everyhting else you can think of. alcohol is out of your system about an hour/drink, give or take, and its legal anyway, if you are underage say you had some coughsyrup.
