Felicia tells everybody off at her intervention after Rachel, Cass, and Lorna have each said what they needed to say. By turns angry and tearful, Felicia accuses them all of abandoning her. She tells them she likes to drink. Rachel tells Felicia they’re not doing this because they hate her, they’re doing this because they love her and they want her to make it. Felicia tells Rachel to go to hell. Cass tells Felicia she’s the most pathetic thing he’s ever seen. When Felicia taunts Lorna, calling her “little tough girl” and asking if this is a bit much even for her, she then rebuffs Lorna when Lorna calls her “Mom” and refuses to hug her. Lorna tearfully, almost in a whisper, says she wouldn’t want to be Felicia ever. Felicia says why would Lorna want to be something she hates? Then Felicia asks if they’re done here. It’s been a hell of a way to spend an afternoon. Before walking out, Felicia tells them they accomplished their mission: she’s no longer their problem. After Felicia leaves, Lorna asks what she has done. Rachel puts her arms around Lorna to console her. Victor tells the trio that they have to do the only thing they can: take care of themselves. They can’t take care of Felicia; she has to do it on her own. Cass says that wasn’t Felicia saying all those awful things to them, not the real thing. Victor agrees with Cass and offers to refer the trio to counselors who work with family members and friends of alcoholics. Lorna reflects that Felicia is completely alone
