Q&A: How Can I Make My Book Really Good?

Question by Southernsweetheart: How can I make my book really good?
I am writing a book, and I think and so do many other people that I have a great storyline. Its a story about love and morals. The storyline is great I just can’t describe things good to actually make people feel they are right there in the situation. An example “Miss Jennings was my homeroom teacher, had been since 9th grade. Walking down the hallways seemed like I was in a music video or something, I looked in every room and everyone was wearing their cap and gowns, smiling and laughing. Maybe I would have been like that too if my father was still alive, and my mom wasn’t an alcoholic.” In situations I have a hard time using “I don’t want to”, she said starting to frown.”
Im just really not good at writing, but I have a great storyline, help!
