Let Me Go Lover Dean Martin Baldyholly

Just a little ditty from myself, singing, i think, one of the saddest songs ever and truly one of the most beautiful too. Let Me Go Lover was written by Jenny Lou Carson and Al Hill. It is based on an earlier song called Let Me Go Devil, about Alcoholism! It was featured on the television programme Studio One, on November 15th 1954 and caught the fancy of the public. Joan Weber sang the song on the TV production and the recording was released by Columbia records, selling over 100000 copies in its first week. By January 1955, the record had hit nbr 1, spurning numerous covers, many also becoming hits in their own right. Although the song has been recorded by many artists, my favourites are Dean Martin and Billy Fury.
