Is this just an accepted “cult”? I’m glad it has helped so many but my mother is an alcoholic and I have grown up with her and been “through it all” with her……my boyfriend has been through AA and has cut down and it’s worked for him but if I even want a few drinks each night he’s all over me that I have a problem…….I dont have as much as a speeding ticket much less a DWI (3 of which he has) and I all of a sudden need to go to “MEETINGS”………is AA a cult?

I have friends who were not allowed to participate in an AA group because they didn’t believe in god.
