The rhythm and balance of life will be completely lost for the child when such incidents start taking place. The child will start viewing the rest of the world in a completely different manner when it has become subjected to abuse by an alcoholic parent. A lot of children have suffered from severe depression after being abused by parents who have become addicted to alcohol.
If there are no other members of the family who can provide the child with the right kind of emotional support for the child who has been abused, then the behavior of the child is likely to undergo a large amount of change. The child will become a loner who has totally withdrawn into a completely exclusive world where no one else knows what they think or how they feel. Depression is one of the most common reactions which take place when a child has been subjected to the abuse of an alcoholic parent.
