There are many folk cures that are supposed to help cure a hangover.
Many of them will help you cope by replenishing the vitamins and liquid you lost over night, while some like avoiding caffeine are very significant to a quicker recovery.

Symptoms of Hangover
Hangover symptoms typically begin when your blood alcohol drops significantly and is at or near zero.
They’re usually in full effect the dawn after a night of heavy drinking. Depending on what you drank and how much you drank, you may notice:
1. headache
2. irritability
3. nausea
4. fatigue
5. dehydration
6. body aches
7. vomiting
8. dizziness
Treatment of Hangover
1. Drink slowly and on a full stomach. Keep in mind that if you are a small person, the effects of alcohol use are greater on you than on a larger person.
2. Drink only in moderation. The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism recommends that women have no more than 1 drink per day and men no more than 2 drinks per day.
One swallow is defined as a 12-ounce bottle of beer, a 4-ounce glass of wine, or a 1 1/2-ounce shot of liquor.
3. Drink a glass of water in between drinks containing alcohol. This will help you drink less alcohol, and will also decrease the dehydration associated with drinking alcohol.
4. Avoid alcohol completely to prevent hangovers.
Home Remedies for Hangover
1. You should never drink on an empty stomach. Drink after or with some food. The food to be taken in accessory with alcohol must be fatty food.
2. The fried food will stick to the inner lining of the gastrointestinal tract and retard the assimilation of alcohol in the blood stream.
3. Water is also the natural treatment to fight against hangover. The major cause of hangover is dehydration so drink plenty of water before you drink alcohol. Also take 2-3 glass of water before going to bed.
4. Citrus fruits are also useful in fighting hangovers. Take a glass of juice of a fresh orange or lemon and sweetened with sugar.
5. Bananas are beneficial fruit in hangover. Kiwi fruits are also said to be taken in hangover.
6. Caffeine and chocolate are also good to prevent hangover. After an alcoholic binge, eat a chocolate bar or drink a cup of coffee.
7. This will help you regain your nerve impulse. Though, too much of coffee could eliminate the nutrients from the body further. It is advisable to take not more than one cup of coffee.
