Military Alcohol Abuse: AirForce Form and Recruiting Question?
Question by : AirForce Form and Recruiting Question?
Straight to the point. I really want to join the AirForce,
lets say i put i have never did or tried marijuana on this form (or tell my recruiter.)
I write down that i havent. But i tryed it out twice, did it 6 years ago.. and Theres no record or trace of it whatsoever.
The form however, reads “you must be totally honest in completing this form” also reads “should i conceal any drug or alcohol abuse info and if discovered later, punitive action may be taken against you based upon the false info you provided.
followed by drug questions.
Question on form reads “have you ever used or experimented with marijuana.”
1) If i say no i havent, What do you think or know what they will do to me if they find out later?
1a) What does this part of the form honestly mean to you? (Where it reads “be honest, completing form, if discovered later punitive actions -may be taken against you etc..”)
2) Honestly will i even be accepted if i say yea i experimented? (not that i’m proud of it)
2a) Should i say i did?
2b) Should i even speak any of this to the airforce? (Like is it relevant)
By the way never knew i had to be asked this ever again in my life when i was like 18, until now. im about 24. Never liked drugs period, was apart of drugs. Even before this mistake.
I could use help with this, i need it as if the most important person you knew or care about we’re to ask you.
(People tell me to just say No, and i stuck with no for a little while, (confidently. But honestly, inside im scared of what to say.. this questions of one of the biggest mistakes i made in my life, and a part of the greatest decision i’ll make in my life.
Belonging to a dream i haven’t slept into and found years later long after that mistake ‘in otherwords until i havent figured out what i wanted to become’
This is the moment and thing i have been waiting for. If i must tell you, ‘yes its been a few years i’ve been waiting to find the right answer. and the people at military.com just doesn’t seem to understand.)
(embarrassed by this but ‘i’ve literally dreamed about being on the job,’ lol)
i’m counting on your answers,
Thank You.

biggest mistake of your life?? come on, theres obviously no lasting effects from it. its less dangerous than tobacco and alcohol. you need to stop obsessing over it.
