Symptoms for Alcohol: Questions About Epilepsy?

Question by poisonedflower: Questions about Epilepsy?
I had an EEG lately to possibly confirm Epilepsy, my doctor already believes I have it and wants to try medicine regardless of the results based on my symptoms he’s convinced. What can they tell from my EEG? I had to deprive myself of sleep and let’s just say I don’t function without sleep. I think I may have had a seizure during the test. Usually I have an aura this one came out of nowhere it woke me up, it seemed bigger than usual I don’t remember too well I convulsed and I know at least one of my limbs flew up, both arms and legs were effected. It was quick any idea what type it was? The technician who conducted the test was not allowed to say anything and I didn’t pressure her with any question but I have to wait for the results like 1-2 weeks so I’m curious. Did anyone else get a terrible headache during the test?

Aside from not being able to drive until I’ve been seizure free for a year, are there any other things maybe I should avoid?

Can I drink alcohol? I don’t drink much once every few months I get together with friends and party (I’m 29). I don’t drink to get drunk, but should I refrain altogether?

Anyone here who has Epilepsy that doesn’t mind talking to me?

My son has mild seizures but no epilepsy. He’s had several eeg and he usually ends up with a headache afterwards. Strobe lights, fluorescent lighting and some video games can trigger a seizure or major headache for him.
