Question by Nishra: Would it be alright to drink while on a diet?
I’m currently doing P90x. It’s going great. I’ve lost nearly 20 pounds in 4 weeks. Tomorrow is the first day of phase 2. Everyone is starting to notice that I look different. Anyways, I was just wondering if it would be alright to have alcohol once in a while? Not high calorie beers or anything, more like scotch whiskey and other hard liquors. I know I’m on a diet but would that really have a huge affect on my results? I’m not an alcoholic or anything lol I just enjoy a drink every now and then.
Okay but I was thinking more to the point of getting wasted.. I’m supposed to be going out with some friends and I’m the kind of guy that likes drink whenever I have the opportunity since I don’t very often. (again I am not an alcoholic or anything and I don’t even drink that often)

Alcohol contains empty calories with no food value…but a drink or two per week ain’t gonna hurt anything (unless your dr. has cautioned you against all alcohol). Congrats on your workouts and weight loss.
