Can a Mental Patient Wrongly Diagnosed Clear His Name?

Question by John B: Can a mental patient wrongly diagnosed clear his name?
If you have been wrongly diagnosed as being manic depressive, it goes on your medical record, and family and friends accept that whatever the psychyatrist has said must be right.

But if you suffered from stress, or anxiety, and the symptoms wrongly interpreted, is there any way you can clear your name? You only get medication. No one cares what happens inside your head. Bipolar syndrome is a general term for a very broad family of deseases. Can one set of medication cure them all?

Yes. You can clear your name by suing the psychiatrist for damage. Make it to the newspaper. Get the news on the front page. You can kill two birds with one stone then.
