Hello,
I am looking for some recommendations on books about domestic violence, sexual abuse and alcoholic fathers. Basically I want a book about someone’s horrible messed up childhood and the sadder/ more crude the better.
Just for reference I liked books like The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls and Push, although the glass castle wasn’t horrible enough for me lol.
Maybe something like a girl who lives with a horribly abusive alcoholic “stepfather” and a mother who acts like there is nothing wrong, and has continued to enable him for years? any stories like that out there that u know of off hand? Or maybe I should just get to writing my own, I am sure it would make the NY times best seller list. lol, j/k! :)
