I’ve been looking up some things about that period of time and about Alexander. The cause of his death is up for debate. How did it happen in the movie? I never saw it and can’t find it anywhere.

From Wiki:
“Alexander died after twelve years of constant military campaigning, possibly as a result of malaria, poisoning, typhoid fever, viral encephalitis or the consequences of alcoholism.”

Don’t know how they had him die in the movie. According to Wiki, there is no explanation of death.
