He quite his job to look after his sick parents and when they died a year later he was unable to return to his old job. He moved to Las Vegas in search of work but after countless job applications his money ran out and he was forced to hit the streets. Rick tells us of the hardships he has faced during his time on the street. He wants society to listen to the homeless and try to understand their stories as he believes this is the way to find a solution to the homeless problem.
