Acidity is a digestive system disorder condition characterized by excess production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach and making the person feel heartburn or dyspepsia. Leaving acidity untreated can lead to ulcers in digestive system.
Acidity refers to a set of symptoms caused by an imbalance between the acid secreting system of the stomach and proximal intestine and the protective mechanisms that ensure their safety.
Acid reflux or Acidity is one of the most ordinary diseases that cause heart burns in the upper body. Acid reflux is a situation in which the acid in the stomach reiterate towards the throat. This esophagus lining cannot grip the acidity of the food products and gastric juices. Due to this harsh irritations in form of chest pain or heartburns occur.
Causes of Acidity:
1. Consumption of rich and spicy foods.
2. Eating speedily, very fast devoid of proper chewing.
3. Eating hurriedly while beneath stress.
4. Inappropriate sleep.
5. Alcohol utilization.
6. Pregnant women may undergo because when the baby grows, the uterus exerts force on the digestive area.
7. Overweight people may bear because of unnecessary pressure on their digestive tract. Avoidance of Acidity & Heartburn.
8. Obtain a mixture of 2 tsp of normal apple cider vinegar and 2 tsp raw honey in a glass of water earlier than meals.
9. Stay away from fried foods, pickles, hot spicy foods, vinegar, and chocolate.
10. Keep away from unripe high pectin fruits, such as unripe apple. But ripe apple such as delicious apple or fuji apple may help out.
11. Grind up the food properly. Do not consume in hurry
12. Do not bounce meals. Do not keep great gap between meals. This produces gas / current of air.

Symptoms of Acidity:
Burning sensation in the chest or abdomen, vomiting, belching and lack of appetite are the main symptoms of acidity.
Home Remedies for Acidity:
1) 1-2 teaspoon juice of chebulic myroblan is taken daily is highly helpful in the treatment of acidity and heart burn .
2) Eating water melon, banana and cucumber also reduces the acidity.
3) Juice of raw spinach also helps to reduce acidity caused by smoking or excessive consumption of alcohol.
4) Drinking the almond milk made from blanched almonds is very helpful as it supplies good quality protein and also binds the excess of acid in the stomach.
5) A glass of plain milk gives fine relief during the pain.
6) Take tender coconut water 3- 4 times a day.
7) Take a small piece of jaggery each hour. Just keep it in the mouth and gradually suck it till acidity gone.
8) Cumin seeds boiled in a glass of water can be taken.
9) By Eating sprinkle sugar and pepper on the piece of pineapple, you will get relief from acidity.
10) You can also get relief from acidity, by drinking pumpkin juice and also adding sugar in it for better taste.
11) Drink carrot juice, it is also used to get relief from acidity.
12) Take 1 tablespoon of amla with 1 tablespoon of haritaki.
13) Squeeze the juice of an orange and mix it with roasted cumin seeds.
