Alcohol Awareness is So Simple, Anyone can Learn

Alcohol and drug awareness is an profound issue in America today.  In 2010, 10,839 people will be murdered in drunk-driving car accidents, that is one dead person from an alcohol related car crash every 50 minutes.  Both young people as well as adults need to better acknowledge the risks and consequences of alcohol and/or drug abuse.

While fatal car crashes are one cause of death, there are also other related deaths associated with alcohol and drug use, such as cancer, heart disease, and strokes.  Most people don’t realize that prevention must start early. As for adults, alcohol and drug related problems create a fabric of problems that become woven into our lives.  Alcoholism ruins families, destroys important relationships, creates an unsafe environment for adolescents and has serious health risks.  Drug addiction, while viewed as the worse of the two, essentially has the same problems as alcoholism.  Over time the alcoholic or drug addict will hit rock bottom and get help or die.  That is simply the fact.
