Necessary Points That I May Have Left Out of Writing My Research Paper On”effects of Alcoholism on the Family”?
Question by Cyn.: Necessary points that I may have left out of writing my research paper on”effects of alcoholism on the family”?
It’s a required 10 pages, and I would like some input : ) I’m doing my outline, and I’m just not having faith in myself right now. This is my outline as of now, it can be changed– i would really like to add more to it, or more so I NEED to add more to it ha.
I. Intro
II. What alcoholism is
– disruption of life
– lasting harmful effects
III. Effects of alcohol
– on small children
– on adolescents
– on the alcoholic adults immediate family
– on a pregnant female
IV. Help for alcoholics
– Alcoholics anonymous
– Rehab
V. Conclusion
Thanks!
@UniversityGirl– I’m a freshie, so it’s for psy 101. Oh yeah, I have a ton of mistakes. I wrote this outline literally about 10 minutes ago haha, but thank you! You’re a huge help.

It depends what level of school this is for. I wrote a good paper on the alcoholic-producing family in third year university.
Under the immediate family section, make sure you include topics like codependency. In the children/teens section, make sure you include the concept of the “parentified” child (the child taking over the parenting because the parent is too out of it from alcohol).
For heading III, do you means effects of alcoholism? Or effects of alcohol on all these people like you wrote? Because if your paper is on the effects of alcoholism on the family, I think this heading should be about how alcoholism of the alcoholic effects each group. Not the effects of alcohol on each group.
And if that section is about effects of alcoholism, is there a reason you are including a pregnant female as her own group? That could probably just be put under immediate family.
