Executive Drug and Alcohol Intervention Procedures
Executive Drug and Alcohol Intervention Procedures
In many cases, someone in the Corporate Business World using drugs are hard to help. The reason is, their entire life and sense of self worth are usually directly driven by what they can achieve in the field. If they can’t get anywhere, then they usually get very depressed.
And in the competitive business world, many will do whatever it takes to get that edge, even Drug and Alcohol Abuse. An Executive Intervention is hard, because in most cases they will fear hurting their career in order to get the help they need and don’t want to spend time away from work to go to a Drug Rehab Program.
The way to convince a Business Man or Business Women to get the help they need, is to make them aware that what they are doing is seriously hurting themselves and others around them. Trying to convince them to work something out with their employer may be extremely difficult so they have a chance to detox.
There are Drug Rehab Programs out there for successful business people that are usually much shorter than county funded programs. And especially in Malibu, CA., there are a lot of high end Drug Rehab Centers. The people who run these for the affluent very much understand the needs of these addicts, know how to interact with their employers, understand corporate lingo, and make extra effort to protect their dignity and help them piece their life back when they are released.
In the end, it is their decision if they want to do this and quit. So the best way to conduct an Executive Intervention is to make the addict fully aware of the gravity his actions are causing him and his family, and explain to them what will happen to him if they keep on this road for another year or longer. You really want to make him aware of the potential Long Term Effects and how it will ruin any chance of a long productive life if they keep going this way.
And since a lot of Corporate Executives aren’t wired in with the street element, many Abuse Prescription Drugs like Oxycotin.
