What Are Your Parents Like?
Question by Alyssa: What are your parents like?
Surely everyone’s parents aren’t the same as on TV…?
My parents are lazy. They never want to take me anywhere and they make a big deal out of it if they have to. They don’t love each other – mom’s an alcoholic by night, dad has anger issues and flips on everything, spends all his time on the phone with his girlfriends. They treat my sister like an angel and me like crap. I get blamed for everything and they have even lowered to tell me I should be put in a foster home because they don’t want me anymore. They smoke pot and mom sleeps on the couch.
Surely I am not alone on this “bad parents” thing. lol. You?
P.S – don’t get me wrong, i appreciate i have parents at all and i <3 them. just one of those bad days where you get into a fight lol -_-

What Should I Do if I Love Two People at the Same Time?
Question by goatcaller: What should I do if I love two people at the same time?
I am going out with one girl whom I love for many reasons, but I am also in love with another girl that I have adored for many years, long before I knew my current g/f. I am not usually an “emo” like person, I have told my g/f about it and she understands and knows about it. I cant explain it but this girl is the “one”. There are too many reasons to list, but I feel so crappy at the moment because of my current girlfriend’s situation. I have wanted to break up with her and erase my thoughts of the other girl and leave to move out far away and start over and leave everything and everyone behind. In truth I have thought about suicide for many many reasons, including this with a mixture of too much stress from work, college, love, and life, but I will not because my death will and should be decided by my God. In truth I just feel like shit, and confused, along with alcohol abuse, “What is the point of living if there is no life within your love?”
I Just Don’t Know What to Do With My Alcoholic Mother in Law?
Question by Lorena J: I just don’t know what to do with my alcoholic mother in law?
She has been drinking for 20 years, she turns into another person when drunk. She drinks straight up, and she talks to herself and goes crazy kicking people out of the house. I try to listen to her and her problems thinking maybe since I’ve come into her life by living with her, she now has someone to listen to her and might make her stop. I even tell her “You need to stop drinking” and she says “Yes, I have a problem and I need to do something with my life” but then that same night she drinks like crazy.
Im not sure how else to help her to stop, since it is really destroying us (those that live with her) and I’m getting to the point where I can’t stand her because of that. I just feel like leaving her alone and let her drink her life away, but I know she needs serious help.
What Exactly Defines an Alcoholic? I Think I May Have a Problem.?
Question by Carmen: What exactly defines an alcoholic? I think I may have a problem.?
I mean, I hate to say it, but I think I have a little problem.
I’ve stopped drinking, but its hard to resist the urge. I mean, VERY HARD.
When I start, I can’t stop until I either throw up or pass out.
I just don’t quit. I’m a happy drunk (but that doesn’t condone my drinking) but sometimes I can get angry at the drop of a hat.
Do I have a “problem”?
Should I check into going to AA meetings?
