What is that disease or illness that isn’t common. It’s the one where the person HEARS about another sickness and starts to develop the same symptoms. Billy Bob Thorton had it on the movie “Bandits.” I really want to know the name but I have no clue what it’s called. Any help would be great thanks.

This is personally very intersting to me from a psychological point of view since I had no experience. (Just take my word for it)
Please, notice I said drug “use” not abuse, meaning I am not referring to the stage of psychological dependence to the subtsnace. Also, alcohol excluded.
No identities revealed, I just want to know what the leading emotional and psychological factor in the thinking behind it is.
