How Can I Stay Straight edge(No Alcohol, Drugs, Etc) Without Veering Off the Path?

Question by utopian_wildfire: How can I stay straight edge(No alcohol, drugs, etc) without veering off the path?
I don’t do drugs, but I drink occasionally, and when I drink, I also eat badly. I want to stay straight edge and be healthy. I actually cut out alcohol, sugar, caffeine and white flour for a month, and felt great! Then I got into some weird mindset like I wanted to have fun and went out and bought the stuff to make sangria. I am 27, so its hard to socialize without drinking, but I try. Does anyone have any tips? And please don’t post comments belittling me because of my lifestyle, or calling me a crazy christian, because I am not a christian.

Always just get water when you’re out, so instead of sipping alcohol without even thinking about it, you’ll just be drinking water. Good luck. :)
