After 2 hours on the telephone trying (and failing) to get her insurance plan to pay for her medication refill, I reached into my pocket and handed the patient $ 30 so she could fill the prescription. It seemed both kinder and more honest than sending her away saying,

I lost my Pappy on Tuesday. He’d just turned 80 at the end of August, and if I’m completely honest with myself, I think I saw this coming over a year ago. Even as the past six months or so played out, his health continued to decline at an ever-increasing pace. At one point, I actually told my husban

Have Seniors Ever Know Anyone Who Seemed to Be Throwing Away Happiness?

Question by handyman: Have Seniors ever know anyone who seemed to be throwing away happiness?
As was once said about Scarlett O’Hara, she seemed to be throwing away happiness with both hands. Ever known anyone like that? I have known a few, and once I might have been that person. Count your blessings.

Best answer:

Answer by Sew What?
Yes. I’ve known several.

A couple of them were alcoholics.

“Count your blessings.” Those are profound words to me and more than a mere pop-psychology exercise. I have a sign up in my kitchen. “Did you count your blessings today?” I say out loud at least three good things in my life everyday.

I Need Help Finding a Therapist!!?

Question by jaysmith0019: I need help finding a therapist!!?
I’m going through a rough time right now, I’ve never really wanted to get “help” but I really think it’s something I should consider. Can anyone recommend a really good therapist? I have no clue where to begin looking for a good one. I’m 24,Male, and I’m just having issues with a bunch of things right now. I’m not sure what you might need to know if you are to recommend someone who is right for my situation, so i’ll just say a few things that i’m going through… Death of a loved one, breakup, stress from childhood abuse, and sometimes anger and depression. Thanks ahead of time if you can help me find the right therapist!
I live near Atlanta, GA
