Signs of a Functioning Alcoholic: I Need Some Advice, Please?!?
Question by Jo-Z: I Need Some Advice, Please?!?
Okay, so I am going to try and make this very long story as short as possible.
*I used to really love and be close with my dad
*My dad has always been an alcoholic, which I’ve never been a huge fan of
*My dad and Mom used to have huge fights
*My dad used to physically and emotionally abuse my brother
*My brother moved out when he was 15 years old
*After my brother moved out, my dad then moved on to physically and emotionally abusing me, which he never really used to do(I was 10 years old when he began abusing me)
*I have told my Mom, but she doesn’t believe me
*My Mom and dad are not legally divorced, they’re not living together, but they still see each other, I’m living with my Mom
*My Mom will never divorce my dad and will never get over him, she’ll “always love” him
*Not too long after my Mom and I moved out, I wrote my dad a letter, explaining to him how I feel, but never got any type of response
*From my past, I’m scared to death of my dad
*I haven’t talked to my dad in about 9 1/2 months
I want and really need to talk to my dad. I need to tell him how I feel. I need closure. I don’t want my dad in my life. I do not like him at all. So, I want to call my dad and tell him how I feel. I need to tell him how I feel. I need this for closure. Please, I’m scared to death to talk to him, even if it is over the phone, all I need to hear is his voice and I’m terrified, so, I could really use some advice on this. Anything. Please? I would really appreciate it. Thank you guys. I’m 16 years old if that helps at all.
***Note- I won’t be talking to him face to face! It will be over the telephone.***
Youth Alcohol Abuse: What Does It Mean to Dream You Have Cancer and Are Dying?
Question by Pek-Mom: What does it mean to dream you have cancer and are dying?
I had a dream last night that I had throat cancer and was dying. There was a new, radical procedure that they could try to save me, but no one would talk to me about it. My parents and the doctors were whispering about it so that I would not here their discussion as the procedure was very risky. Now I am a 30 yr. old woman, so my parents would not be the decision-makers in this case. The entire time I was going through this experience, “dream”, I kept saying, “I have to do this for my son”, and “you must save me so I can see him grow up”. I kept telling my parents and my husband to make sure my son knows that he was EVERYTHING to me “in case”. However, I was determined to fight and survive.
If Batman Were Real, What Would Be His Psychological Report?
Question by Joker: If Batman were real, what would be his psychological report?
Silly question, I know..But take this seriously..Well, a little. Like example..Could it be that the wrath he unleashes upon criminals is actually repressed anguish that he justifies for “fighting crime”? And what kind of depression would you say he suffers from? Post partum? You know..All that psyche mumbo jumbo.
This is obviously for nerds, I guess..But then again, I don’t even read..So I guess this is like..Open to everyone.
And if you dont wanna answer my question because its silly, then uh..Buddy, you clearly take the internet WAY too seriously.
Nope. All I got was a 404 error and a picture of sad Obama.
A positive psychopath? Batman? Wow..There may be hope for me yet.
