ok so i’ve been going out with this girl for 2 months and we really like each other. but this isnt a relationship question. we love each other. shes never had a guy in her life and shes had bad boyfriends and thankfully she is still a virgin but she told me im the one shes been waiting for and i know she means it. i love this girl with all of my heart. she means more to me than a previous girl i dated for 14 months. recently we’ve told each other secrets. i found out that when she was younger her brother invented a game called “love” in which u touch each other wherever and say “i love you” well she was a little kid and her brother was around 17. she was around 8. well he played this game with her all of the time and she wanted to stop. she told him and he refused. her parents are split and they both live in different states. well anyways when she told him he said no and grabbed her and forced her to do stuff all of the time. the sickest part is her older sister watched this all happen. she was around the same age as the brother. when my gf screamed her name the girl did nothing. my gf was told that if she told she would be hurt and its not okay to cry. well my gf finally had the courage to tell her father 2 years after the abuse and he said ” i can see why he did it. your beautiful” from then on he molested her as well. my gf goes to his house for a few weeks in the summer and he no longer does it and the brother asked for forgiveness and my gf forgave only cuz she felt she had to. when my gf goes down there her dad hits her and makes her sleep outside on the porch or in his car because he is an alcoholic. he even punched my gf in the eye last year and gave her a black eye. he tried to get into her life by buying her gifts. but the thing is my gf wont tell her mom because she doesnt want to ruin the family. im not sure what im supposed to do. im here for her and she knows it but this is really still hurting her inside but she plays it off like everything is ok by saying “i forgive them” and thats it. when she talks about it she cries and she says ” how could my own sister see all this happen and not help?” the thing is i dont know what to do. if i tell i will lose her trust forever. i dont want to ruin her family and this isnt my issue to tell people i just dont know what to do. i want my gf happy. i want her to feel good again. i have a similiar past but it was only with 1 guy for a little over a year.i reported him and hes still in jail for a little over 2 more years and has been for 7. i just need someones help. please. i dont know what to do in this situation and im a wreck.
coming from a personal experience….i dont like counselors either. and her sister was never molested. he sister was really close to her brother but not in a sexual way. she just took her brothers side. and i’ve been praying but for some reason everytime i have an answer the question is changed.
