I’m not sure what to do – I suffer from delirium tremens when I’m not “sufficiently intoxicated.” I’ve been drinking everyday since I was seventeen (literally) except for when I was in rehab (twice – not more than fourteen days altogether). I’m twenty-seven. I wake up every two hours or so because I need a drink. I had to move in w/ my parents b/c I’m on probation for a DWI and the state suspended my license for a year because of multiple offenses (Not DWI – driving on a suspended license). I’ve considered suicide, but that seems a little selfish. Rehab doesn’t work (it’s not like it’s depicted on tv). I don’t have any insurance. I bought a six pack this morning (after I stole a jar of pennies from my stepfather, who is out of town and cashed them in via Coinstar). I’m on my last beer and I’m still shaking. Does *anyone* see a way out of this? I don’t want to come off as a whiny “man-child” although I’m sure I do – I’m just seeking some advice – I’m scared for my life.
