Alcohol will not be a problem. (It might, but from a very different nature.) In some student bars they have sign: “for cleaning up your vomit we charge Bt. 50 extra”. I think that is self explanatory.

Drugs is a different story. Those laws are very severe. Having a single joint in your possession will give you BIG trouble. You won’t get a warning, but a lengthy jail term. But I would be utterly surprised if you can’t get it, or the university is completely clean.
