Addiction Gone: The Most Successful Way to Stop Binge Drinking
Binge drinking is everywhere- in every country, every state and region, every town, and every bar across the globe. Unfortunately, it doesn’t stay there- it leaves the bar and enters the streets, where it takes tens of thousands of lives in the US alone (and that includes those that never get behind the wheel- a study in 2000 found that a full third of all pedestrians who died in traffic accidents were intoxicated). It enters the home, where it destroys relationships and sometimes whole families, leading to a whole host of new problems. In short, it enters every corner of your life. That is, of course, unless you’re looking to stop it.
Am I Drinking Too Much?
Am I drinking too much?
Introduction
At what point does having a regular drink or two become something you should worry about? If you’re not out partying till the early hours every night, you haven’t got anything to worry about, right? Maybe not.
Many people think that unless you’re stumbling home every night, a regular drink doesn’t do anyone any harm, but that isn’t always the case. How many times have you declared you’re just out for ‘one’ and suddenly you’re making a night of it?
The sliding scale of drinking too much begins with much smaller amounts of alcohol than most people would think. Drinking as little as a couple of pints after work on week nights, or sharing a bottle of wine with a friend most nights, could mean you’re drinking too much. And consequently be affecting your long term health.
What exactly is too much?
What Are Some Ways to Avoid Putting on Weight When You’re Going Out and Binge Drinking 2-3 Nights a Week?
Question by cooljuly88: What are some ways to avoid putting on weight when you’re going out and binge drinking 2-3 nights a week?
I’m in college and that’s the culture here. I like to go out but I also don’t want to put on weight. I feel like if I don’t go out with my friends I’ll miss something. So don’t give me any sanctimonious answers like “Just don’t drink! duh” or “only have 1-blahblahblah” or “you’re an alcoholic.” I’m gonna do what I’m gonna do regardless. So please gimme good legitimate answers. Thank you. That is all.
Thanks to the people who actually answered this without judgment. Everyone else, may i ask why you get your kicks going online and verbally abusing total strangers? And to the person who told me I fail at life, you’re a dick and you know it. Judging people on the basis of three sentences they wrote must be so gratifying to your soul!! wheeeeee

Great Tips if you want to try Quitting Drinking on Your Own
Quitting drinking on your own is absolutely one of the biggest challenges you will have to face in your entire life if you have alcohol dependence. As no man is an island, it is just naturally easier to get out in a situation when there are willing hands to help. However, when all you got is yourself, or you decided to take things on your own, the story becomes totally different.
According to studies, alcoholics who decided to quit on their own had more number of failures than those who chose otherwise. However, it is not really that hard to understand why many people opt to face the problem on their own. For one, adults have egos as big as they are. Asking for help is just something naturally “degrading.” Two, alcohol is a part of everyone’s life and it just seems pathetic for one to have a serious problem about it. Anyway, whatever your reason is, here are some tips that may be able to help you quit alcoholism on your own:

The Self(s) Healing Experience: A Unique Method to Stop Binge Drinking
Binge drinking isn’t just for college students. In fact, statistics show that 70% of all binge drinkers are over the age of 25, and that 75% of the alcohol consumed by adults is in this form. But that’s not the worst: if you’re a binge drinker, you are 14 times more likely to drive intoxicated. And we all know where that leads: more than 10,000 fatalities due to drunk driving occur annually in the United States alone. And most of the time, it’s not the culpable driver who dies, but the innocent bystanders. Many things in life are reversible- death, unfortunately, is not among them.
