Alcoholic Disease: I Went to an Alcoholics Anonymous Meeting and the Guy There Said That I Was Allergic to Alcohol?

Question by : I went to an alcoholics anonymous meeting and the guy there said that I was allergic to alcohol?
I think, if I were allergic to alcohol, I would be dead by now, because I drink so much of it. How can I be allergic to alcohol?

Best answer:

Answer by wtfcats
You are not allergic to alcohol. You might have whats called “Asian Blush” which basically means your capillaries(like veins and arteries) in your face are close to the surface and this causes your face to turn red when you drink. But you are not allergic to alcohol, that guy is wrong. He might have been trying to metaphorize though.
