what can i do? i’m near 5 years sober, never had any friendships that i’d say were very deep, i’ve had a few sexual partners (male, now 38) but most were while under the influence, and none would i describe as satisfying or rewarding to any degree –
now sober, after the sobriety “honeymoon” for sure, i’m experiencing paralyzing social anxiety that i’m sure was part and parcel with my alcoholism, i’m sure i’ve had it all my life but just coped with it in different ways, i’ve been having thoughts of suicide, i can’t readily trust anyone, but i try, i try i try, i’ll go ‘out’ to do social stumblings but end up gripped for anything to input into an inane world- what garbage, filth- this world is disgusting, yeehaw yokels grabbing what they can, damn the consequences, it’s all we boil down to – we’re a sick sick species
