The Joe and Charlie audio cds have been very helpful to my husband. They can be purchased from the Joe and Charlie web site or on Ebay and are very reasonably priced. There are others but my husband likes these best because they are seem more true to the experiences of actual alcoholics.

Alcoholism is not the kind of disease we expect to find in teenagers. Yet, more and more young people are turning to drinking not only as a social pasttime, but as an answer to their problems and insecurities. YannicK starting drinking at the age of 14 in order to combat his shyness and by the age of 17 was drinking a huge quantities every day . At 19, he took a job in a bar, an ideal environment to nuture his addiction. Things reached a crisis point when his mother refused to have him in the house, forcing him onto the streets and to address his problem. These days, Yannick is sober and does his best to communicate the dangers of drink to other young people. Yet every day is an uphill struggle, and he knows that he will be haunted by his illness for the rest of his life. How can we prevent young people from falling into alcoholism? What are the signs parents should look for, and what future is there for those kids who have already fallen prey to this awful disease?
