I have been getting anxiety attacks for a few months now. I’m not sure what specificaly causes them but it started when i told one of my best friends that my mom was suffering with alcoholism. And the nights that I talk to her about it or sometimes even the nights I don’t the next day at school I feel really lightheaded and nautious when I know I will see her. I have a few classes with her and before those classes I usually get sick and even when I know I will see her passing in the hallway. I don’t want to break my friendship with her because she is one of my best friends but it is beginning to effect my schoolwork and my friendship with her as a friend. I’d talk to another friend but she is the only person who knows and the only person I want to know. I really need some help with this its effecting my life!

Question by Cameo: Thyroid cancer? My mom has to drink “Nuclear Dye”?
My mom went to the doctor about a and a half ago and the doctor said her thyroid seemed to be a bit ‘enlarged’. She went and had a ultrasound done and there was a yellow splotch (nodules). The doctor called my mom and said shes going “to need to have some tests done”. Tomorrow, she has to go drink some ‘Nuclear Dye’? Then has to go back 6 hours later? Then maybe again Friday? What is the point of this dye?

Also, I looked up the signs and symptoms of thyroid cancer and the only one that matches her is coughing and neck pain. My mom has a titanium plate in her neck and has had 2 neck operations so that cancels out the neck pain, and my mom has asthma which ALSO cancels out the coughing. She always feels fine. In fact she hasn’t felt poorly for a LONG time.
