Do you think someone who struggled with alcohol abuse could ever drink responsibly again after years of sobriety? For example, do you think a glass of wine on a special occaison would be possible at some point?

You never become a recovered alcoholic. You’re always a recovering alcoholic. It’s extremely dangerous for a recovering alcoholic to drink, even on special occasions.
