How Many Diseases Have Been Delisted as Diseases in the U.S. ?

Question by brian2006: How many diseases have been delisted as diseases in the U.S. ?

Best answer:

Answer by CuteWriter
I don’t think there’s any one source in the U.S. that maintains a list of diseases.

There are numerous things that have been removed from the DSM for psychiatric diseases that some people find interesting. For example, homosexuality used to be included as a disease, but it has been removed from the text and is no longer considered an illness. Substance problems, such as “alcoholism” also move in and out of discussion as far as being considered “diseases” or symptoms of diseases, etc. Interesting topic.
