Question by Joe: Isn’t it a ridiculous assertion of the “experts” that alcoholism is a “disease”?
Is there any failing of mankind today that is NOT excused as a “disease,” including Andrea Yates chasing her kids around the house and then murdering them? How stupid can you get?

Yes, it’s ridiculous. To call alcoholism a disease, is to try to escape responsibility for being an alcoholic. I have been an alcoholic, but while I was drinking, I never claimed I had a disease that forced me to drink, and I knew I could stop whenever I decided to stop. The alkies just want to keep drinking is all, so they claim they have a disease.
