Last night I was so stupid. I’m embarrassed to even be alive at this point.
Summary:
– I was 1 hour late
– I came sweating and out of breath
– I couldn’t hold a sustained and engaging conversation – many many awkward silences
– She wanted me to pick for her and I picked an alcoholic drink which I don’t think she really approved of so I asked her if she would like to get something non-alcoholic after it came out
– As I tried to talk to her I got many weird looks
– I put the wrong amount 3 times tipping the waitress causing somewhat of a panicked response from my date, who wrote the amount herself
– I didn’t bring my car (But because it was damaged and not sure about it being ok)
– We had to take public transportation and I forgot to pay causing one of the guards to yell at me
– The train got stuck and we were there for a long long awkward and extremely painful time
– Then the worst part: I was so stupid to ask her this but I asked if it would be alright for us to change our facebook status to “In a relationship” she got extremely uncomfortable and told me “No way. I already have a boyfriend.”
– Following that we were silent the whole way
– Before she got off the final train I remembered how she said way back at the beginning something mentioning a next time so I asked her if she wanted to do anything again and she said “No lets just be acquaintances.”
I feel like such a loser and I am so angry at myself that I made someone suffer this bad.
I got a text message from her reiterating how she doesn’t want a relationship with me and furthermore ran completely away from me. Problem is I have to encounter her every once in a while and it’s going to be so F^cking awkward!! I don’t care anymore and if she doesn’t want a relationship with me I’m ok with that but I DO CARE IF THINGS HAVE TO BE SO AWKWARD JUST IN EVERYDAY LIFE!!
I responded to the text telling her that I was really sorry for being so awkward and honestly wished she could have had a better time. I told her “Sorry for tonight”
The no response.
Will everyone make fun of me now and I am hopeless for the rest of my life?
I can’t believe I feel like this. I think I honestly set the world record for the most awkward dating experience….
